That's right y'all! Champagne may just be the healthy beverage your diet is missing.
Let's break this down. According to a recent study performed at Reading University in the UK, "drinking one to three glasses of champagne a week may counteract the memory loss associated with ageing, and could help delay the onset of degenerative brain disorders, such as dementia."
YES IT IS! When someone tries to lecture you about drinking champagne before breakfast, you can retort with: "It's for my brain health! Do you want me to get dementia?!"
Apparently, this health-enhancing feature is due to champagne's high levels of phenolics, a compound found in the red grapes, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
Now, it would be remiss of me to not present all the facts of the study, which do state that more research is needed to fully understand the positive effects. For now, scientists are recommending reasonable alcohol consumption: drinking 1-3 glasses per week will let you repeat the potential neuro-benefits.
